On June 21st, our community came together in a beautiful display of support, solidarity, and self-care at the annual Be Kind to Your Mind 5K Walk/Run. With 84 participants and countless more cheering from the sidelines, the event raised an incredible $5,011.00 to support Iris Clubhouse’s mission of providing purpose and community for adults living with mental illness.

The 5K was more than a fundraiser—it was a chance to connect with others, celebrate mental wellness, and take meaningful steps toward healing, both literally and figuratively. From members walking together for the first time to staff and sponsors running side-by-side, the energy was full of joy, laughter, and encouragement. The weather was kind, the route scenic, and the message clear: mental health matters.

We are so grateful to everyone who participated, donated, or spread the word. These funds will go directly toward supporting our Work-Ordered Day programs and expanding engagement opportunities for members. Every dollar raised helps us provide stability, structure, and hope.

We’d like to give a special thank-you to our sponsors, volunteers, and all those who made the event possible. Your belief in our mission fuels everything we do. We can’t wait to lace up our shoes and do it again next year!
