from Grace Filkins, Executive Director

I’m honored to introduce myself as the new Executive Director of the Iris Clubhouse.
This Clubhouse has always held a special place in my heart. As a former board member, I’ve witnessed the power of community, purpose, and peer connection that defines our space. Stepping into this role feels like coming home, not just to a building, but to a mission I believe in with all my heart.
The Iris Clubhouse is more than a program. It’s a community built on the foundation that every individual deserves dignity, connection, and the opportunity to thrive. I’m incredibly proud to now serve our members in this new capacity and to walk alongside them in recovery and personal growth.
As I begin this journey, my focus is on strengthening what already makes the Clubhouse so powerful. I hope to grow our membership and increase participation in programs that provide real, lasting impact, especially our Supported and Transitional Education and Employment Programs (STEP). These opportunities help members take meaningful steps forward, and I want to ensure even more people have access to them.
I’m also deeply committed to advocating for the Iris Clubhouse and sharing our vision with the broader community. I want everyone to know who we are, what we do, and why it matters. We are changing lives—and I’m ready to keep that momentum going.
Above all, I’m here to listen, to lead with compassion, and to ensure the Clubhouse remains a place where every member feels seen, heard, and empowered.
Thank you for welcoming me into this role. I’m filled with gratitude, and I’m so excited for all that lies ahead.
With warmth and determination,
Grace Filkins Executive Director, Iris Clubhouse
